Conference information

Participant badges 

For security and organisational reasons, participants must wear their congress badges at all times when visiting the Lisbon Congress Center (CCL).

Badges are collected from the Congress Registration Desk. Please bring your registration confirmation email with you when you come to pick up your badge. 

Registration 

The Congress Registration Desk is located on the ground floor of the conference center. They are open at the following times: 

  • Thursday 3 September 17.00-20.00
  • Friday 4 September 07.30-19.00 

Participants registering after 4 September must collect their badges at the Congress Information Desk on the first floor in Pavilion 4.

Information Desk 

The congress team is ready to assist you throughout the 9th World One Health Congress. The Congress Information Desk is located on the first floor of the conference center, in Pavilion 4. 

The Congress Information Desk is open: 

  • Thursday 3 September: 17.00-20.00
  • Friday 4 September to Sunday 6 September: 07:30-19.00
  • Monday 7 September: 07:30-17:00

WOHC2026 Virtual platform 

We have created a dedicated virtual platform for WOHC2026: https://wohc2026.globalohc.org. Register for the virtual platform to view the Congress program, upload accepted posters and presentations, connect with other participants, and more.

Please note that the virtual platform is separate from the conftool platform where you registered for the Congress. 

To register on the virtual platform:

  • Log in with the same email address used to register for the Congress.  
  • A login code will be sent directly to your inbox.

The virtual platform includes an online helpdesk for all web-related support. Please use the online helpdesk for any assistance with uploading posters and presentations, resolving login issues, and addressing any other technical concerns. We aim to reply to all helpdesk queries as soon as we can during business hours (WEST).

The virtual platform will remain open until the end of the year, so you can continue to view session recordings, digital posters, and stay connected with other participants after the Congress.

Session Capacity

Please note the maximum capacity of the session rooms: 

  • Auditorium I - 1500 people
  • Auditorium II - 380 people
  • Rooms 1.08 and 1.10 - 50 people
  • Rooms 1.05, 1.06 and 1.07 - 45 people

It is not possible to exceed the stated capacity for each room. Once a room reaches its capacity for that session, the door will be closed and no further entry will be permitted. We encourage you to arrive at the room for your chosen session 10 minutes before the session starts, to ensure that you secure a seat.

Language 

The official language of the congress is English. No translation will be provided. 

Please note, however, that the side event “The Integration of One Health Approaches in Tropical Medicine” taking place on 3 September, will be held only in Portuguese as a special Lusophone Workshop.

Venue 

The 9th World One Health Congress will take place at the Lisbon Congress Center (CCL), Portugal’s premier venue for international conferences and events. The CCL offers state-of-the-art facilities, spacious auditoriums, and modern exhibition areas, providing the perfect setting for global discussions on One Health. Easily accessible from Lisbon’s historic city center and major transport hubs, the venue is surrounded by the city’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant atmosphere, and renowned gastronomy. Whether engaging in scientific sessions or networking with peers, attendees will experience a world-class event in one of Europe’s most dynamic capitals.

The congress will take place on the first floor of the venue, bringing together plenary sessions, breakout rooms and poster areas in one central and easily accessible space.

Filming and photography 

During the congress, videos and photographs will be taken. Pictures and footage shall be used for Global One Health Community activities and educational purposes.

The Global One Health Community (GOHC) is guided by the highest professional and ethical standards and is committed to providing a collegial, respectful, and harassment-free Congress to all delegates regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, physical ability, nationality, age, socioeconomic status, and belief. We expect all attendees to foster the exchange of scientific ideas, opinions, and expertise through open and respectful dialogues and to create a safe, inclusive, collaborative, and positive experience for everyone at the Congress and all Congress related events. We expect Congress participants to display respectful behavior at all times. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. 9th World One Health Congress organizers will not tolerate scientific misconduct nor harassment of any sort and reserve the right to take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the Congress with no refund.
